How to Join the Club

A membership application form, available from the Secretary, must be completed including the names and signatures of the proposer and seconder  If the applicant is a member of another Golf Club then a handicap certificate is required together with a letter of introduction.  An informal new members meeting is held at the Clubhouse on a regular basis when all aspects of membership are explained.

Membership Period

Membership renewal is annually on the 1st of January.


Payment of Fees 

Payment of fees (excluding Beginner, Junior & Social memberships) can be spread over a period , further details can be obtained from the Secretary.   

Prospective Member

Membership Categories and Fees Payable as from 1st January 2010.
From April 2010 the fees are on a pro rata basis. Contact the Secretary for details.

All above golf fees are inclusive of £25 development levy where applicable and are also subject to an additional county golf union fee of £12.80 for men & boys and £17.80 and £15.30 for Ladies & Girls

Membership Year runs from 1st January to 31st December annually, except beginner which is a 12 month membership from the date of joining. All fees above include £25 development levy, county and national subscriptions where applicable

Payment of annual membership fees in categories marked* can be spread, see Secretary for details.

A small administration charge is payable for these options.

 

Country Membership -   (Qualifying residence is more than 25 mile radius from the clubhouse)

 

Beginner and Associate Memberships are subject to certain criteria, see below for details.

 

Membership loyalty discount of £50 per annum will be applied to categories marked# after 5 years continuous membership



Criteria applicable to Associate and Beginner Membership

 

In addition to the membership subscription, a green fee of £10 per round (Beginner) and £15 per round (Associate) is payable each time you play

 

Benefits of membership

·          Can play 7 days per week (see restriction below)

·          Can obtain and maintain a CONGU handicap

·          Can play in any “non Trophy” Club competitions

·          Full use of club facilities, social functions, locker rooms etc.

·          Member’s discount rates at the bar and on buggy hire.

·          Having gained a handicap, can utilise our reciprocal arrangements with – Weymouth GC, Chedington GC, Romsey GC, Chipping Norton GC, Fulford Heath GC and Wells(Somerset)GC.

 

Restrictions on membership

·          Not able to enter Club Trophy competitions

·          No voting rights

·          Not able to represent the Club in Club league or friendly matches

·          Not allowed member’s guest green fee rates

·          Start times at weekends are restricted to after 9.30am

·          Beginner membership applies for 12 month only period, from date of joining
