Dress Regulations

Members and Visitors alike are reminded, whether they are playing or not, that in accordance with the Club Rules smart golfing dress is required at all times on the Course & around the Clubhouse area including the practice putting green and outside seating areas; and smart casual wear in the Clubhouse.  However, please respect special occasions in the clubhouse when more formal wear will be expected.

ON THE COURSE & PUTTING GREEN

GOLF SHOES (not training or sports shoes) are the ONLY footwear permitted to be worn.  From November 1st until May 1st, METAL SPIKED-SOLED golf shoes are very highly recommended (Health & Safety).  The Professional holds a stock of metal spikes for those shoes with soft spikes.  Socks must always be worn with footwear.  Tailored shorts may be worn with long or short sports socks.

Items of dress NOT acceptable, under normal circumstances

  • Sleeveless Shirts or 'T Shirts/Vests (Men only).
  • Strapless sun-tops or topless attire.
  • Sports, cutaway, beachwear or multi-coloured shorts, also swimwear.
  • Trouser tucked into socks.
  • Also any form of dress deemed by the Professional or his Staff as not conforming with the spirit of these dress rules.


IN THE CLUBHOUSE

Our Policy on dress in the Clubhouse is that clean, smart, casual wear is required unless advised otherwise, e.g. formal occasions and matches.

To avoid any misunderstanding over the interpretation of 'smart casual',
the following items are NOT acceptable:

  • Headgear of any description
  • Cut, bleached or frayed clothing
  • Tracksuit tops or bottoms
  • Golfing footwear of any kind, except in the Spike Bar
  • Sleeveless tops or T-shirts (men only)
